August Wrap-up

August wrap-up

August was such a fun month and the weeks went so fast.. I started my new job! I’m now working in a secretarial role at a high school. I was very excited and a bit scared to start, because this job is so different from what I did before (I’m a social worker and I worked with teenagers with behavioral and psychiatric problems). I do like it, though!

Also the Boyfriend and I went to a Flogging Molly concert and we went on a beer tasting day-trip to Haarlem (we visited Uiltje and Jopen brewery-bars).

And.. I read some books!

Let’s take a look at the books I’ve read and bought in August!

July Wrap-up

July Wrap-up

July was a wonderful month. We’ve been to a Guns ‘n Roses concert and to a food truck festival. The concert was amazing and the food at the festival was delicious (I had sushi and Indonesian food). Also we have a new family member, Fancy the budgie! He is such a cute and happy little bird and he makes me smile every day.

Also July was the month of the heatwave.. I live in the south of the Netherlands and while I’m writing this post it’s 36 °C outside and it has been like this for over a week now. That’s just too hot to get things done and I’ve been taking things slow.

Let’s take a look at the books I’ve read and bought in July!

BookTube-A-Thon 2018 TBR

I’m going to participate in my first ever readathon! I’m really excited to play along in the BookTube-A-Thon, which is taking place from July 30th to August 5th.

What is the BookTube-A-Thon?

The BookTube-A-Thon is a week-long readathon hosted by Ariel Bissett. She describes it as an opportunity for the bookish community to come together, to celebrate reading by creating bookish content and reading lots of books!

I think a lot of participants are active on BookTube, which I am not.. So, I’ll be tracking my progress on Twitter, Instagram and on my blog.

The BookTube-A-Thon Reading Challenges

1 – Let a coin toss decide your first read.
2 – Read a book about something you want to do.
3 – Read and watch a book to movie adaptation.
4 – Read a book with green on the cover.
5 – Read a book while wearing the same hat the whole time.
6 – Read a book with a beautiful spine.
7 – Read seven books.
