BookTube-A-Thon 2018 Wrap-up

BookTube-A-Thon Wrap-up

The BookTube-A-Thon is a week-long readathon hosted by Ariel Bissett. She describes it as an opportunity for the bookish community to come together, to celebrate reading by creating bookish content and reading lots of books!

This year the BookTube-A-Thon took place from July 30th to August 5th. I planned on reading 7 books in 7 days. You can see what books were on my TBR in this post.

The BookTube-A-Thon Reading Challenges

1 – Let a coin toss decide your first read.
2 – Read a book about something you want to do.
3 – Read and watch a book to movie adaptation.
4 – Read a book with green on the cover.
5 – Read a book while wearing the same hat the whole time.
6 – Read a book with a beautiful spine.
7 – Read seven books.

Curious to know how many of the challenges I completed?

Shelfie Sunday – Blue Books

Blue Books Shelfie Sunday

Shelfie Sunday is a new blog meme on Cafe Manon. I was thinking about a way to showcase my books, but my bookcase isn’t pretty like some of the bookcases I adore seeing on Pinterest or Instagram.. So, I decided to cheat a bit and create ‘shelf-categories’.

Previous Shelfie Sundays;

Today I’m sharing my second shelf-category, which is Blue Books.

July Wrap-up

July Wrap-up

July was a wonderful month. We’ve been to a Guns ‘n Roses concert and to a food truck festival. The concert was amazing and the food at the festival was delicious (I had sushi and Indonesian food). Also we have a new family member, Fancy the budgie! He is such a cute and happy little bird and he makes me smile every day.

Also July was the month of the heatwave.. I live in the south of the Netherlands and while I’m writing this post it’s 36 °C outside and it has been like this for over a week now. That’s just too hot to get things done and I’ve been taking things slow.

Let’s take a look at the books I’ve read and bought in July!
