Ever since the first time a saw the classic Disney animated movie, I was in love with Alice in Wonderland. It’s a wonderful story about a little girl named Alice who chases a white rabbit down a hole. She enters a magical world where she discovers the strength and potential of her imagination.
Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland is a beloved classic tale and there is lots to learn from its underlying messages.
Everybody is unique
“But I don’t want to go among mad people,” Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.”
According to the talking cat we’re all mad..
Everyone has their own eccentricities. They make you who you are. Embrace your quirks and don’t be afraid to be yourself.
Start at the beginning
“Begin at the beginning,” the King said, very gravely, “and go on till you come to the end: then stop.”
Sometimes life can be overwhelming. If you’re thinking about a new project, start with small steps and you will get there in time.
It’s okay to dream
“Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
Alice is a very curious girl who refuses to think that anything is impossible. She likes dreaming of unimaginable things.
Some things will always be impossible, but you can dream about everything you can possibly think about. Dream about your wishes and goals. There is very little that can’t be achieves with hard work and dedication.
Live in the present.
“It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.”
Don’t live in the past. Instead grow and change into the person you want to be.
Take your own advice
“I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it.”
Most people are more likely to take advice given by others over listening to their own advice. We really ought to listen to our own intuition more often. Somehow you know what’s good for you.
