This week I came across a wine from Golan Heights and I realised I’ve never tried a wine from Israël before. I thought this was a good excuse to buy a bottle!

It’s always nice when someone brings you a souvenir from their holiday, but this gift made me really happy. Friends took a trip to Burgundy, France, and gave us a beautiful bottle of Chardonnay!
I love wine.
Last year I decided to do the WSET 1 and WSET 2 course. I passed them both with distinction and if I learned one thing, it’s that you can learn a lot about wine by tasting a lot of different wines. Wines from different grape varieties, from different regions and different climats..
But off course you can also learn a lot by reading about wine. My wine book collection is growing and these are my 5 must have wine books for wine lovers.
What’s better than reading a good book?
Reading a good book while enjoying a lovely glass of wine!
Reading and discovering new wines are two of my greatest passions. To bring these two together, I’m looking for Book & Wine pairings. When a novel is light and bubbly, I can pair it with a nice Champagne or Cava. If a book is bolder and more complex, I’ll pair it with a Tempranillo or a Barola.
A while ago I’ve read Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman and I paired this book with a glass of Château La Tulipe Merlot from the Bordeaux, France.
