I can’t believe it’s already the last month of 2018.. This year is going by so fast
In December were celebrating my Boyfriend’s birthday and also the fact that we’ve known each other for 10 years. Also it’s the most wonderful time of the year! I love Christmas. The decorations, the cheesy music, the classic movies, the food.. Just a few more weeks!
Also I plan to read some books in the last few weeks of 2018.
Let’s take a look at the books I want to read in December!
If you follow me on Twitter and this blog, you probably know I adore Sherlock Holmes. I’m always looking for new Holmesian things. Last weekend my Boyfriend and I were looking for a new game at a local board game store and we found a Sherlock Holmes inspired mystery game. Of course I ended up buying it..
There are three different versions of this game;
- Jack the Ripper & West End Adventures
- Carlton House & Queen’s Park
- The Thames Murders & Other Cases
We decided to try the Jack the Ripper & West End Adventures box.

In September I hosted the #BookishLoveSept18 challenge with the wonderful Marcia from Trendy Simple Life. The challenge was so much fun and I want to thank everyone who participated on Twitter and/or Instagram.
Let’s take a look at the books I’ve read and bought in September!
If you follow my blog or my Twitter, you’ve probably seen me rave about my budgie named Fancy.
He is such a cute little bird and I thought it would be nice to make an art journal page about him.

July was a wonderful month. We’ve been to a Guns ‘n Roses concert and to a food truck festival. The concert was amazing and the food at the festival was delicious (I had sushi and Indonesian food). Also we have a new family member, Fancy the budgie! He is such a cute and happy little bird and he makes me smile every day.
Also July was the month of the heatwave.. I live in the south of the Netherlands and while I’m writing this post it’s 36 °C outside and it has been like this for over a week now. That’s just too hot to get things done and I’ve been taking things slow.
Let’s take a look at the books I’ve read and bought in July!
For this month I don’t have a lot of things planned. I’m going to a Guns ‘n Roses concert and to a food truck festival, but other than that.. I hope to spend a lot of time in our garden and I plan to read at least six books this month.

June was a great month and I did some really fun things. On June 8th I celebrated my birthday and a week later the Boyfriend & I went on a city trip to Prague. I’ve spend a lot of time outside this month, since the weather was amazing. Also I went shopping for a wedding dress and I’ve send out some job application letters.. Exciting!
Unfortunately I didn’t read as much as I had planned this month.. You can see what was on my June TBR here.

Last week I’ve been on vacation in Prague. I loved our 5-day city trip and Prague is a wonderful historical city.
I was looking for a place to have breakfast and I saw a Google review stating “Some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had” served at Café Savoy, a restaurant located only 5 minutes from our hotel. We wanted to try it out and we ended up getting breakfast there every morning of our trip. This really was the best breakfast I’ve ever had!

In two days I’m are going on a trip to Prague with my boyfriend. I have never been there and I am so excited to explore this historic city.
I was flipping through my Lonely Planet pocket guide and I thought it would be fun to illustrate my own map of Prague.
Cartography, the art op map drawing, is a centuries-old science that has captivated explorers and wanderers throughout the ages. Although the world has been thoroughly mapped, artists continue to make maps of familiar places. Every map tells a story and in illustrating maps there is endless room for creativity.
