June Wrap-up

June was a great month and I did some really fun things. On June 8th I celebrated my birthday and a week later the Boyfriend & I went on a city trip to Prague. I’ve spend a lot of time outside this month, since the weather was amazing. Also I went shopping for a wedding dress and I’ve send out some job application letters.. Exciting!

Unfortunately I didn’t read as much as I had planned this month.. You can see what was on my June TBR here.

Let’s take a look at the books I’ve read and bought in June!

Books I’ve read in June

In June I’ve only finished reading 3 books..

  • Her Name Was Rose – Claire Allan (e-ARC); Review
  • Sometimes I Lie – Alice Feeney; Review
  • When Life Gives You Demons – Jennifer Honeybourn (e-ARC)

My first DNF of 2018

I hate to say this, but I decided to not finish reading Beas: A Tale of Love and Revenge by Lisa Jensen. I had such high expectations of this book, Beauty and the Beast being one of my favorite fairy tales. I just didn’t enjoy reading it. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters, the story was too slow-paced for my liking and.. Ugh. It just wasn’t a book for me.

Bleh. Het was gewoon niet mijn boek.

Here you can read a review by Aimee about Beast that sums up my feelings about this book perfectly.
