Echoes by Alice Reeds

An unputdownable mystery

I received an e-ARC of Echoes from YA Bound Book Tours.

Echoes by Alice Reeds is a story told from the point of view of Fiona. Fiona is a student and a lightweight kickboxing champion. She’s a tough and smart girl with bright blue hair. Fiona wins an internship to Briola Tech in Berlin. This is something she didn’t expect to happen and she is thrilled to go on this trip. The only thing she isn’t excited about is that she is going with Miles. Miles is Mr. Popular, intelligent and his parents are very rich. Miles and Fiona have very different backgrounds and they don’t get along.

Fiona and Miles take a private plane to Berlin and this is where Fiona starts to question things.. Why are they in a private plane? Fiona and Miles fall asleep on the plane and when they open their eyes, the plane is crashing down. They are on a deserted island in the wreckage of the plane. But is the island really deserted? Where are they? Fiona and Miles never got to Berlin, or did they?

Fiona and Miles are trying to survive and they are trying to find a way to get of the island. They need each other and they get to know each other in a different way. Maybe they have more in common than they thought.

Echoes is a mysterious and exciting young adult thriller. I couldn’t put this book down and I just had to know what was going on. I’m not going to write too much about the story, because I don’t want to spoil it. There is a lot going on in this story. Trust no one and decide for yourself what is real and what is not.

I would recommend Echoes to everyone who enjoys a fast-paced mystery.

4 out of 5 stars.
