Book Blogger Insider Tag

I got tagged by Lotte from The Reading Hobbit to do the Book Blogger Insider Tag. Thanks for tagging me!

Read on to see my answers to the questions of this tag.

1 – Where do you typically write your blog posts?
On the coach with my laptop on my lap. I prefer sitting on the coach to sitting at a table. It feels more relaxed I think.

2 – How long does it take you to write a book review?
It depends. Sometimes I can write a review in an hour, sometimes it takes up most of my day.. Some book opinions are harder to put into words.

3 – When did you start your book blog?
I started in January of this year. Cafe Manon is only 5 months old! I started Cafe Manon as a place where I could share my interests and passion for books and journaling. I was thinking about it for almost a year before I took the step and actually started writing blog posts.

4 – What’s the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?
Since I started this blog and since I started talking to other book bloggers on Twitter, my TBR is out of control.. I want to read so many books and I want to read them as soon as possible. This isn’t a bad thing, but sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all the new releases. I have to choose what book to read first and what books I want to buy. It’s hard! I want them all..

5 – What is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?
The best thing for me is very close to the worst thing about book blogging. I love talking about books on my blog and on Twitter and in a very short time I’ve talked to some amazing book lovers. Also I started reading a lot more and I have read books I didn’t even know about before.

6 – What blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?
This is a hard question.. I’ve enjoyed writing all my posts. But I think the most fun post so far is 5 Things We Can Learn from Alice in Wonderland. I loved making the photos with my Alice and Mad Hatter Funko Pops, looking up quotes and just writing the article.

7 – What is your favorite type of blog post to write?
I love writing book reviews and I really enjoy unboxings.

8 – When do you typically write?
I mostly write in the morning, just after breakfast.

9 – How do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled up with your fur baby?
I can only write when it’s silent, so no Netflix for me. It’s too distracting.
I love a cup of coffee with my writing. Caramel Macchiato, please!

10 – When do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?
I try to write my reviews in the same week of finishing the book. If I wait too long, the details get lost in my mind. I do try to keep notes while reading a book and this helps a lot. I have a notepad filled with names, places, quotes..

11 – How often do you post?
I try to post twice a week. I don’t really have a blog schedule.. I should have one, right?

This tag was a lot of fun! Thanks again for tagging me, Lotte!

  1. I always enjoy reading posts like this as it’s a great way to find out more about fellow bloggers! I don’t have a log schedule either but perhaps I should try to!x

  2. Loved reading your answers Manon! 💖 I feel the same. I am forever finding books I want to read after reading great blog reviews but never have enough time 🙈. I also like to blog without any distractions, maybe some chill out music but nothing too loud. Great post girl, thanks for sharing! 😘 xx

  3. I love writing book reviews (although I haven’t written too many lately) because I love sharing what I’ve found interesting or otherwise with others. Equally, I love reading book reviews, although an ever-expanding TBR is an inevitable consequence! Great tag post, thank you for sharing 🙂 x
